JESUS, The greatest leader ever known!

JESUS, The greatest leader ever known!
When we think of leadership and influence, it is hard to imagine that a single individual could have
such a profound impact on the world. Yet, there is one leader whose influence has endured for
over two thousand years, affecting societies around the globe. This leader used everyday life
experiences to connect with those around him and displayed a humility so deep that it might have
been mistaken for cowardice. That leader is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, whose influence
continues to resonate to this day. Through His leadership, and according to google.com, there are
over 2.45 billion people in the world who profess the Christian faith
Jesus’s style of leadership was unconventional in ways that many would not understand or even
like. He called twelve disciples to follow Him, asking each of them to leave their daily lives behind.
They followed Him, lived with Him, and shared meals with Him, but through this, He taught them
how to lead, speak, and influence others. He assigned them roles even when He knew they were
not yet ready for them, continuing to mentor and train them throughout. He loved them deeply,
even though He knew they would betray Him. He was their constant companion for three years,
teaching, rebuking, acknowledging, correcting, and showing them love. He
was patient, demonstrating how to serve others rather than seeking to be served by washing the
feet of the disciples. Ultimately, He gave them assignment when He sent them out into the world
to spread His message in Mathew 28:19-20
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Mathew 28:19-20
Jesus’s kind of leadership was all about people. Everything He did was to ensure that people are
served well by those He trained and mentored. For example, the disciples were called upon to love
and be compassionate when He asked them to allow little children to come to Him in Luke 18:16.
As leaders, we must ask ourselves: How much time are we willing to invest in those we wish to
empower and influence to take on leadership roles? Do we have the patience, courage, and
commitment to dedicate ourselves to this kind of mentorship? Are we willing to make such a
sacrifice? What drives us to do what we are doing? Do we have a vision that we are committed to?
These questions may sound too difficult to answer and to do. But leading God’s people require us
to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ. His way has better results of winning the whole world than
doing it alone. One needs to have a winning team or champions who will help in fulfilling the
vision the leader has. You too can do it.
